Brady and the Pats Set for Another AFC East Title

The story of Tom Brady itself is amazing. A guy picked #199 in the draft who then gets the starting position after Drew Bledsoe got injured, and winning his first NFL title that year. A Cinderella story, no question.
However, after two more titles, this might be the biggest season for him, considering that the Patriots might not be favored by the NFL Betting Odds, taking into consideration how the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins have strengthened their teams in the past moths.
Tom Brady and the Pats are coming off a disappointing season where they were eliminated in the Wild Card round after a beating by the Baltimore Ravens.
But it was not only that. Despite that Brady’s stats was really good, he and the Pats disappointed in big games last season. (more…)

Late Thursday night, the Dolphins were finally on the clock after trading down from pick 12 to pick 28. Among those still available were Sergio Kindle and Jerry Hughes, two athletic outside linebackers who would fill a huge need on their roster.

PITTSBURGH — In the wake of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s suspension, the Pittsburgh Steelers stuck with the 18th pick in the NFL draft and selected center and soon-to-be guard Maurkice Pouncey from Florida.
Pouncey, 6-4½, 304 pounds, entered the draft as a 20-year-old junior. He spent the past two seasons playing center at Florida and snapping to Tim Tebow.

The police are continuously searching for the suspects of the reported home invasion in Tinley Park. A boy called the police around four in the morning reporting that there were unknown armed men in their home located in the 9100 block of Basswood Drive.
The police saw one f the suspects in an act of assaulting a male resident through the windows of the invaded house. The police entered into the scene and the suspects, who were believed to be at least four African-Americans, scampered across the house and broke out through the windows and doors. So many things could have gone wrong with a documentary about the Buddha’s life – and it is so difficult to get it right too (viz. Bertolucci’s “Little Buddha“) – that you cannot but applaud David Grubin’s fine film.
Personally, what I enjoyed the most was the music. It conveyed a mood that is just right for understanding some of the core elements of Buddhism – equanimity, compassion, kindness. There were many well-chosen snippets from eloquent but also very “real” and “present” speakers (my favourite, besides His Holiness the Dalai Lama, was Mark Epstein). (more…)
